An EcoPsycological Approach To Mental Health

Ecopsycology engages the participants in outdoor farming activities and explores the effect that it has on human psychological development. This practice helps treat mental health issues by implementing sustainable lifestyle and remedying people’s growing alienation from nature.

Mutual Support Initiatives

Excursion Ideal connects entities working to support our communities thru mutual support initiatives. Connecting community leaders from inside and outside of Puerto Rico is our duty. We are grateful for and continue to support partners like the NYC Firefighters, NYC Court Officers, NY City Council members, numerous nonprofit organizations, artist & media personalities like Angie Martinez, Tempo, Wiso G and many others.

Disaster Relief and Rebuilding

Participants become essential in assisting with rebuilding initiatives and providing medical supplies during times of disaster relief.

Understanding the Puerto Rican Diaspora

We design literary and interactive workshops for participants on the Puerto Rican Diaspora, its history and current relationship to the mainland.

Locally Sourced Menu

All meals provided are locally sourced. We take great importance in gathering and sharing with the community during meals. supporting only locally owned and sourced restaurants is a priority.

Multi Media Workshops

We connect community service creatives with the tools and access to exchange knowledge and skills with participants while creating meaningful multi media projects.

Expressing Grass Roots Arts & Crafts

Learning and exploring Puerto Rico’s grass roots artistic expressions is one of the most enjoyable, exciting and fun filled activities in the itinerary.

Leisure

Whether it’s exploring the local arts and crafts, tasting the exquisite local seafood, Reiki on the beach or a river run, south west Puerto Rico’s Caribbean pristine beaches and rivers make for the most relaxing days off.

Mentorship Excursions

Mentorship excursions initially connect participants remotely with students or mentors from various fields in order to foster guidance, share knowledge, and promote professional growth. The participants then travel to meet and engage their mentor/mentee on an excursion focused on academic advancement, career guidance, entrepreneurship, community engagement, cultural heritage and mental heath initiatives. By building strong mentor-mentee relationships, we aim to empower individuals and strengthen our communities.
